The Blackhawk Hotel, listed in the National Register of Historic Places, is the oldest continuously-operating hotel site in Iowa and is conveniently located in historic downtown Cedar Falls.

During the renovation of the Blackhawk we have taken great pains to retain the historic character of the original building while offering the modern conveniences of a refined hotel. Motels just don’t have the location nor offer the ambience of a true “Hotel”.

From the time you enter the lobby of the Blackhawk Hotel you instantly become comfortable with the surroundings and feel transported into a past time when the world moved slower and life was less complex. THE BLACKHAWK “LOFTS”
For the discriminating traveler who is looking for luxury accommodations in a more spacious and private setting, the smoke-free Blackhawk “Lofts” are fully-furnished one-bedroom loft apartments providing up-scale amenities on a nightly (2-night minimum) or extended-stay basis. Amenities include antique and vintage furnishings, character pine flooring, fully-equipped kitchens with all conveniences, spacious baths with Jacuzzi tubs, washer/dryers, king beds (all linens provided), high-speed wireless Internet and cable TV.

The “Lofts” are conveniently located on the second floor of an historic building right next to the hotel. Only steps from fine dining, entertainment, recreation and a variety of shopping options, guests enjoy all of the amenities of the hotel in a more independent, autonomous environment.
